Spiders

I'm so tired of arthropods now!
In school we had to do a project in the style of a newspaper. Well, my partner chose to do arthropods. My articles were on black widows and crabs. I still love crabs and lobsters, but I HATE SPIDERS!!!!!!!!!!
Umm.....yeah.....sorry about that. I had to get it out of my system.
If anyone reading this likes country, my favorite songs are:
The World
Pieces
My Wish
When the Stars go Blue
Yes I Do
He Ain't the Leaving Kind
Words I Couldn't say
The Thunder Rolls
B-double-e-double-r-u-n (BEERRUN)
And almost all of Toby Kieth's, Carrie Underwood's, Garth Brooks, and Rascal Flatts' songs.

My SOL schedule is as follows:
Language Arts-Monday
Math-Wednesday
Civics & Economics-Thursday

Hilarity at my sister's house...

So I'm watching the rescue pups, Boomer and Zeus. I had to make a trip back to Manassas today, with the fellas, and one of my reasons for coming down was my niece's 3rd birthday party.

My sister has a small goldfish pond. Labs are water dogs. I'm certain that the goldfish are thoroughly traumatized.

Busy couple of weeks...

I decided that since it's been a couple weeks, I'd post a little bit of an update.

Terri is back to work with SRC but working in an building belonging to another contractor. After her first week back to work, we hosted an MCQ sew-in at our Legion post on Saturday. We managed to get 16 quilts completed and they are on their way to be distributed to the families. We had quilters in from the Northern Virginia and Richmond areas, as well as parts of Maryland.

I spent parts of last week getting ready for that, and now my mission is to get us back on track with having groceries in the house, as well as putting in some seat time on our bikes. We've got the century charity ride coming up the first weekend in June. My legs and lungs can take the ride, it's the seat time that's going to kill me.

I've also been working with Stonewall's JROTC drill team a couple of days a week after school. The kids are raw but there's some enthusiasm there, and hopefully I'll be able to get some of them to commit to working with me over the summer. They've done pretty well without much instruction, so I'd like to see them perform with some coaching.

I pulled my R/C plane out of the closet and have managed to get in some flight time with Jason. He's doing OK with it, and I've joined the local club to have access to a decent flying field and some help with getting myself brushed up. Terri sees trouble with my renewed interest.
