Lots of updates!
I added some pictures today! OK, so it took me a few months, but here they are. There are pictures from Sam's National American Miss pageant, and pictures from Jason's first criterium bike race. There's also a couple of "what's wrong with this picture?" pics that I hope you enjoy.
I still have some to post from when we supported the fall asthma ride, will try to get to those tomorrow.
On other fronts, school is in full swing with the kids, and both seem to be struggling to get some assignments complete. Sam is learning to play the alto saxaphone in band, and Jason continues to excell with his singing. As a matter of fact I have to get up in a few hours to make sure he gets on the bus for All County. The concert is in the afternoon.
The kids are volunteering at Sudley Manor House on Thursday afternoons. They are playing games with the folks there for an hour before they have dinner, with activities ranging from "bean bag tic-tac-toe" to "beach ball soccer." They are really enjoying it and the folks there seem to enjoy and appreciate them being there as well.
They are also both singing in the Wesley Singers and participating in the youth group at Grace on Sundays.
Terri continues to be very busy at work, and is currently filling a position well "above her pay grade." She's rasing some hackles and stirring the pot, which is exactly what the people that asked her to fill the position want. They are actually hoping to keep her there until she retires (April 1, 2007) and then sliding her into the position as a civilian. She hasn't been traveling as much as she sometimes has in the past, but she does have a trip coming up in a couple of weeks.
I spend a good bit of my time making sure that everyone else can be where they need to be with full bellies and clean clothes. The shadow box business has really slowed down, no doubt in part due to there not being as many people retiring from the military right now. This gives me a chance to get in gear writing, and I have a project for publication in the works. I'm also building bikes at the local Performance Bike Shop part time. I've been doing about 4 hours three days a week, but that's going to slow down here for a bit until Christmas.
As you can see, there's good reason for the delays between posts, but I'll try to do better. Honest.
